Michelle: We dress about three times a day: a dress for the morning and then if we go riding, that’s a whole outfit change and then dinner in the evening so, I guess we would see a lot of each other during the day.

Joanne: They do get to spend a lot of time together I think.

Michelle: When it comes to episode three I rely on Anna quite a lot throughout what happens (which I won’t give away) but actually, it shows, that episode particularly, shows how close they actually are.

Joanne: I believe that some relationships between master and servant could become really really close, but depending in the people. My character is a really trustworthy, honest kind of girl as well so they do end up having a strong friendship within the boundaries of servant and employee.

Michelle: And we would have been young girls, we would have grown up together, So there is a closeness that isn’t always shown in any scene specifically at the beginning but it does develop through the course of the series, which is really what it’s about, the collision at times between upstairs and downstairs and how they depend on each other.
